Dante is a true enigma. While out of sheer boredom, he'll take part in endeavours that would make even the most vile creatures to walk the Earth cringe, he opperates from a point of bizarre morality. Having no tolerance nor patience for those who take the low road to victory, he often puts himself in the path of those likely far more ambitious than himself. Often, he can be counted on to join forces with others to battle Heel stables. For one who has had a career as long as he has, he strangely has shown little drive towards championships, though this hasn't stopped him from winning a few. He often goes into the ring looking to simply either inflict as much pain as he can, or failing that, getting himself very very hurt. Often, its not really clear who or what Dante is. He seems to possess a strange other world presence inside him, making several wonder if they Dante they know, is truely the real Dante at all.
