Run For Water Movement - April 18th, 2010

Post  Black Spirit on Fri Apr 16, 2010 10:50 am

I was curious about who will be taking part of the Run For Water Movement on April 18th? What do you think about that and if you're already doing any kind of water savings at home / work / neighborhood?

That was a wordwide event organized by LiveEarth that consisted of runs/walks of 6 KMs each on different countries. That's an analogy to the average distance women and children walk everyday to get some water on some extreme poor cities all around the world.

It is being said that by 2025, 2/3 of the whole world will be facing a drinking water crisis, so the event was used to spread the word.

I paid for my spot 3 weeks ago but my knees have been bothering as of late and I decided not to run or even walk.

I was wondering if someone else knew about this. Now I know none of you knew anything which tells me the world is screwed! No
